Fuller Fitness COVID-19 update
Hello FF family.
Tomorrow the 18th May sees the WA Government begin Phase 2 and easing some restrictions.
I would like to thank those of you who have sent messages of support and or asked questions in regards to the gym reopening during this very frustrating time for all. There is a lot of confusion surrounding Phase 2 and in regards to our fitness business and what we can and can’t do. Gyms are stilled closed except for small indoor and outdoor classes. FF will not be opening under these Government conditions.
The WA Premier Mark McGowan announced yesterday that the reopening of gyms may be bought forward under Phase 3, allowing us to potentially open on Monday 8th June. If this is the case, personal training and membership direct debits will commence from the 1st July. Pre-paid members will have the COVID-19 closure time added to their annual expiry date.
I know many of you rely on Fuller Fitness – not just for your daily exercise, but for the sense of community, social interaction and mental and physical health and wellbeing benefits that our gym provides. The silver lining is that we were quick to hire out our gym equipment and raised capital to inject back into the gym. During our Government enforced closure we have installed:
- new floor coverings throughout
- new paint throughout
- new LED lighting throughout; and
- purchased some new cardio equipment.
Your gym has a beautiful new, clean fresh feel and is something we can all continue to be proud of. After 20 years of operating Fuller Fitness, I believe I owed it to our loyal members and my family to keep fighting to stay afloat during this unprecedented period; and to return the gym back in better shape than when we were abruptly shut down.
I will keep you updated as we hear further from the Government and our confirmed reopening date. Any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me on 0410 440 747.
